“Excellent service and workmanship: on spec, on budget, on time. John is a real Leader who directs and follows up. Very personable; easy to get on with and chat things through. His craftsmen are chosen for their skills and experience. Thoroughly recommended!”

“100% recommend! Excellent service – they were always happy to explain the work that was needed, they provided options and gave daily updates on the work. Very polite and punctual. Roof work is never cheap (for good reason), but this company is very good value for money and provides very competitive pricing. Really happy with the end result, and it has made our house more valuable!”

“John and his team did an amazing job replacing our entire roof. They were fast, helpful and very communicative from start to finish. First big job we have done where I haven’t had to worry at all. Highly recommended.”

“Highly recommend to others. Rainwater coming into your house is never a great experience, but I was impressed with the speedy response to our request to quote, diagnosis in line with others and the speed of starting works. John’s attention to detail and hands-on project management meant we always had someone to talk to throughout, with regular updates throughout. He was the only contractor who pointed us towards building control. Quality output and reasonable price for completing the works. Can’t fault.”

“We were very pleased with the work carried out by Hilden’s on our roof. The team was professional, punctual, and clearly knowledgeable about what needed to be done. They explained the process in simple terms, worked efficiently, and left the site clean and tidy afterwards. The quality of the workmanship is excellent, and we feel much more confident about the condition of our roof now. We would happily recommend Hilden’s to anyone in need of roofing work.”

“Re-Roofing a 1925-built house that had the original roof! I cannot fault John and the team one iota. John went above and beyond to keep us informed about what was happening, and when and everything happened to schedule. The work was finished to an impeccable standard, and our house is now watertight and warm! I would not hesitate to use again in the future. John, thank you for everything.”

“Complete Roof Replacement – 4 Bed Detached House + Garage/Porch Roof. Great job. John managed the entire thing from start to finish on an all-inclusive price (skip, materials, scaffolding, outside loo). He was also available and answered any questions I had. The job was completed professionally with a good team. I did have a problem with a leak during the work, but credit to John, he was at my house 20 minutes after I called up late at night and fixed it. I often find it’s how companies respond when things go wrong that sets them apart, and HRC Roofing could not have done more. Price was on par with other quotes, but I felt you got a lot more value with John.

“Complete roof replacement of a 4-bedroom detached house including new loft insulation. Very happy with the work undertaken by this firm. John kept us informed of progress every step of the way, and the two men assigned to do the work were polite, discreet and professional as they went about replacing our roof. John worked hard to get the materials we wanted in difficult circumstances and his team completed the job in the timeframe given and as per the quote. The quote from John was competitive compared to other quotes, and the whole process was conducted in a thoroughly professional manner.”

“Complete new roof with felt and batten. Very happy with the new roof and tile hanging. Price agreed in advance. John was very attentive and maintained contact throughout the work, both via email, phone and in person on site. The guys turned up on time and got on with it. A few days lost, understandably due to overly hot weather followed by very wet weather! Would recommend them for any roofing work.”

“I cannot speak highly enough about John and his team. They were brilliant. They did exactly what they said they would do at the price they said they would do it for. We are very happy with our new roof, which looks amazing. The team were polite, hard-working, and kept us informed.”

“We asked John to quote for a new tiled pitched roof with matching hanging tiles, chimney repointing and also treatment for our flat roof due to ongoing leaks. John explained in detail what would be done, the options and the cost implications of different materials. John’s team were very polite and friendly, and if any decisions were required, we had pictures and videos to help with this. We would highly recommend John and his team for an excellent job, which has given us great peace of mind.”

“Initial assessment of this leaking Victorian roof was very thorough and itemised with clear pricing. John Hilden communicated well and a team of workers were assigned to carry out the repairs with minimal disruption and maximum efficiency. We were informed when the scaffolding would be erected and removed. In my experience this firm has proven professional, trustworthy and thorough. I would have no hesitation in recommending them and will definitely use them again.”

“Replacement flat roof in Fibreglass. The previous flat roof was old/tired felt on very soft chipboard; this was all removed and replaced with OSB board and GRP top layer. All very nicely done, on time and on budget. Courteous workers. Minor problems, subsequently resolved. John advised me of an issue on my adjacent pitched roof, and they will be quoting me for this separately.”

“Fitting facias, soffits and barge boards refitting gutters. A neat job which was well finished. They worked in a constrained area which did not provide much room for working but coped very well.”

“New roof on chalet bungalow and new dormers. John had a meticulous approach and really captured the detail of what we wanted. His team were always on time, very polite and tidy. The end result is truly amazing. For those like me who are always cautious and hear so many horror stories, please be assured that Hildens Roofing is one of the good guys out there. Value for money is good, quality is beyond what I had expected, and we would have no hesitation in recommending Heritage Roofing and taking on board their good advice too. Many thanks to John and the team – a very professional job that has transformed our home.”
